Buc-car-neers Qld Adventure was founded in 2023 by two parents of childhood cancer survivors. They had a taste of "charity bashes" but wanted to create something more accessible to everyday people without breaking the bank. There are no age restrictions or special vehicle requirements. Participants pay their own way as they go. And we travel mainly around Queensland. We have aligned with the Childhood Cancer Support (CCS) based in Brisbane assisting regional families staying in Brisbane for childhood cancer. Each year the CCS host Talk Like a Pirate Day. The result is Buc-Car-Neers Queensland Adventure.
Buc-car-neers stick to established roads and travel in convoy fashion. No Buc-Car-Neer falls behind! A day on the road includes pirating adventures, planned and impromptu site seeing, themed days and nights and our Pirate Haven day for relaxing and enjoying a local adventure to the community we are visiting.
Childhood Cancer Support is a Brisbane based charity who care for families undergoing childhood cancer treatment in Brisbane Hospital. They provide accommodation for families close to hospital services and other specialised support functions. Lets not forget about their Christmas Party and Camp Crystal.
